Baden Hall in Staffs
THE START OF THE ROCKET!
RIEJU UK took their first overall win in the UK last Sunday 22nd November at a very wet and muddy Baden Hall in Staffs.
The new Marathon 250f and Marathon 450 f are being steadily and progressively introduced into the British XC and Enduro market by the vastly experienced WOR Events team.
Race team co-ordinator and Events Boss Steve Ireland had been doing lots of behind the scenes testing and proving with both bikes and a decision was made last week that the 250 version could be released for Racing “Proper” and gave Lincoln Brewster (WOR Events Top runner) the chance to debut the 250f Marathon in rd 14 of the WOR Events Off Road Premiership, a cross country race series that is second to none in the UK and one that receives great coverage and attention.
The event was a 2hr muddy battle around a 5 mile circuit that was a REAL TEST FOR MAN AND MACHINE.
Lincoln was last off the line and getting splattered in mud as he chased the pack through the woodlands and trails (rivers!) that made up the challenging circuit.
By the start of lap 2 the number 1 plate of the RIEJU Marathon 250f was firmly and safely at the front of the pack and that is were it stayed until the chequered flag, giving RIEJU their first UK win and Lincoln chance to show that he can win on any machine he rides.
The 250f RIEJU never missed a beat with its slick handling and grunty motor, the standard settings of the machine proved more than a match for any of the competitors or rivals it faced on the day.
With a lot of comments like “That looks so planted “, “Sounds really powerful and strong” and “he’s flying on that” being directed at Steve Ireland at race control, The WOR race boss knew he had done the right thing by letting Lincoln debut the bike in these risky conditions.

The bikes, both 450f and 250f, YAMAHA powered with proven European Chassis are available to test and try at www.worevents.com and more details on the superb Spanish Built and produced machine are available at www.riejumoto.com
A full test day date will be announced in the very near future.
